Stage 3 - Tonopah / Goldfield
Back Roads Cycling

Teams will compete in a bicycle relay race on a million year old Alkalai lake between Goldfield and Tonopah.  Each lap is around a 1.5 mile oval.  The women will start first for 2 laps and hand off to their male mates - this will repeat by changing every two laps until the finish.  One bike per team, so pit work, handoff speed, and making the bike fit the rider will be as important as speed and endurance.
