Tim Menoher, 37, Erlanger, Ky.

A sales manager for US Bank, 37-year-old Tim Menoher is an avid outdoorsman and adventure athlete.  An aggressive go-getter, Tim competes in monthly duathlons and XTERRA adventure competitions.  Tim says that it’s “the excitement of the unknown” that attracts him to adventure sports and that he loves to constantly test himself mentally and physically.   His self-described, Type-A personality makes him a valuable asset to a number of humanitarian causes, including volunteering for various children’s literacy programs and at the local Food Bank.

Linda Lindsay, 44, Petaluma, Calif.

One of the ways Linda Lindsay, who will be competing in her third Nevada Passage, describes adventure is having no limits to what you can do. In her case, everyday life is an adventure as she packs more into a week than most people do in a month. Lindsay, 44, runs a small CPA firm in Novato, Calif., not far from her hometown of Petaluma. In the midst of a very busy professional career, she swims with a masters program two to three times a week, runs on her lunch break and teaches aerobics classes four times a week. This is all before she competes in monthly adventure races, including marathons, ultra marathons and Ironman triathlons. She also manages to fit in some mountain time, skiing and snowboarding in the winter and mountain biking and water skiing in the summer.  It should be no surprise that Lindsay loves challenges and says she likes to keep herself busy…doing anything outdoors. Among her favorite adventures was a race in Maui, Hawaii where she rappelled down a 350-foot gorge, paddled an outrigger canoe and mountain biked the backside of Hana. Lindsay said it was the most incredible race she has ever done. She is looking forward to the Land Rover G4 Challenge Nevada Passage for the challenge and the experience of being around amazing people and the opportunity to see areas in different ways.  She says she loves to test her limits and the adventures of the uncertain, which should put her in the right mindset for the Land Rover G4 Challenge Nevada Passage.
