Lisa LiebLisa Lieb, 38, Durango, Colo.

Lisa Lieb, 38,  admits that part of adventure is being a little bit scared. However, at this point, there can’t be much left that scares her. She has set out in the New Zealand backcountry with just a backpack and no plan; she has been stranded off-road in the desert with two flat tires and her big, black, furry dog sweltering in the summer heat and she has embarked down Class V rapids after learning how to whitewater kayak just months before. She continues to seek adventure that takes her out of her comfort zone, has some problem solving, and in the end, lets her see and experience something that she doesn’t experience in everyday life. To stay prepared for these adventures, she does triathlon training every day which includes swimming, mountain bike riding and trail running. She also loves to ski, kayak, water ski, surf and take part in the occasional pick up beach volleyball game. Lieb, a veteran XTERRA racer, is a self described high-energy problem solver and is anxious to take on the Land Rover G4 Challenge Nevada Passage because she’ll enjoy the challenge of not knowing anyone or even what to expect.
